First time I went watch browsing......

This week I returned to the jewellers where I bought my OH engagement ring to have it resized and 3 hours later I was still in there talking to the very helpful sales assistant about watches.
It was alot of fun and I am now hooked! I wasn't just wasting the guys time (although he kept reminding me that it was no trouble at all) but I tried on on several beauties.
I started on the Panaerai range as I thought that might be my weapon of choice having researched on the web before visiting - I tried to base model Luminor mechanical with white dial, then a couple of Luminor Marina models, then a Radiomir or 2, up to a "maniffatura" automatic Luminor and they were all absolutely superb.
I then tried 4 JLC's from the Master series before sampling the new IWC vintage range (well, 4 out of the 5 anyway).
All in all it was a great way to spend a morning and I am now hooked on the notion that a Panerai wil be my first "decent" watch purchase in the New Year, they are fab.
