I've been contemplating one of these as an everyday watch for a while.

Been wearing a Breitling Hercules every day for the last 3 years, how does the Monster compare size and weright-wise? Herc is 45mm and 220g.

Breitling is now for sale and am looking at various replacements but still keen on a Monster for wearing whilst working outdoors/shooting and keep the new Rolex/Omega/Breitling/something-else for "good" usage.

Looking at this:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LATEST-SEIKO-BABY-MONSTER-10...

Says it's a baby monster but it's still 42mm, does that mean the regular one is bigger?

confused

It's a Seiko 5, not a Monster.

ETA: and for the same money, you could have an actual Seiko Monster.

OK, thanks. What's the difference?! Water resistance?

I think black face, black bezel and a nato strap is what I want...

A Monster is an actual diver's watch, with 200M water resistance. The crown is at 4 o'clock. Interestingly the picture appears to show the same bracelet as is fitted to the Monster, and it's a good 'un.

I have also sucessfully adjusted the bracelet using nothing more than an engineers scribe and a 0.5mm mechanical pencil ;-)
