I have similar.

I think I paid 1000x what you paid for it, though.

Crap. That is nice. And at less than half RRP, too.

I received this today:

(Stolen pic.)

Only posting on this thread because I got it free of charge. biggrin

(I have promised to donate £50 to a local charity, though, so it just fits in this thread.)

When I fly my stealth bomber it just seems right. No bastid idea what the time is, though.

Are they difficult to read the time, I've just bought one and should have it in the week?

Not really. Hard to read the exact time but within a minute, not a problem.

Some threads baffle with car model and variant numbers; this one does it with watch model numbers.
Impressive detail!

Nice. Do like dark watches. Did try a negative display on a standard dark g-shock and I just couldn't see the time at a glance. At least with the eco-drive, I can just about see the hands which is enough to give you the time.

How did I blag it? It was being given away on the thanks Eddie forum. Simply offer to donate to a charity. Sometimes I miss these but not this time!

Definitely worth the money. It is a larger watch than the other military eco-drives at 42mm diameter (normally they're 40mm?) and on a thicker Nato with dark hardware it just works so well.

Anyway, I have to do a bombing raid over Syria. Back in 10!

I like that a lot!

Recently it appears that my watch situation is mirroring my car situation (own lots, but mostly broken!). Most of my quartz watches are flat or need repairs, and my daily Seiko 5 has started losing time weeping This leaves my Frederique Constant, which might be modest to many on here but it is rather special to me, and my OVO binary watch (which, if I'm honest, is not the most practical for daily use).

So, obviously some watches need to be repaired, but I felt it was the perfect opportunity for a new watch! Did rather fancy a Citizen Eco-drive as above, or another automatic, but decided to see what the cheapest reasonable looking watch I could find!

So I just bought this:

£30 at Argos. For some reason almost all of my watches have a black face so it is nice to have something different, and the Indiglo is most welcome. It's quite small on my wrist but I have girly wrists so it doesn't look out of place. Decent leather strap. Build quality doesn't feel that good, but for £30 you can't complain, and supposedly it has a 10 year battery.

Always wondered about these.

"'Ere, mister, you got the time?"
"Um... it's... no, sorry, I don't."

Words of advise - do not scratch the bezel. Even the smallest marks show up.

I replaced the original strap as the buckle is silver and looked crap, swapped for a fully blacked-out NATO strap (Timefactors I think).
