Solar G-Shock, not got a white watch, might be a bit too garish?

Missed out on one of these when it was reduced to £50 a few months ago

Or how bout an Edifice?

I've had no problems with my cheap Chinese automatics, apart from needing to wind them up before going to bed unlike a Seiko 5.

Anyone managed to get a GPS watch (for running, say) under budget?

Quick search reveals this which is just over budget... https://www.amazon.co.uk/TomTom-Runner-GPS-Watch-1...

Yay or nay?

I normally wouldn't bother with Aldi watches, but can't resist an Automatic and they come in square too

Just ordered one in Verawood for a Christmas present for myself - went with the cheaper seller, mostly as it has slightly better feedback. Will be interesting to see if it looks the same as yours when it arrives.

Has yours come yet? Mine came today. Looks really nice, though a bit larger than I expected. The analogue part of the movement does not appear to be working frown. Did yours come with instructions?
That was quick! No mine hasn't arrived yet, if the analogue clock doesn't work I'll be mildly annoyed...

ETA tracking says its arrived in Aberdeen today! Should get it very shortly...

Well it's arrived...

First impressions seemed good... Looks and feels nice... Analogue bit seemed to be working until it was quite obvious the minute hand was stuck at the 35-40 minute mark, although if you waggle it it sometimes goes to the 10 minutes position.

Oh and the strap was broken when it arrived too

Bit disappointing, given I've bought cheaper automatic watches which have all been fully functional despite more parts to fk up you'd have thought. Think I'll try and return it...

I wood imagine you're quite disappointed.
Hopefully the seller sticks to their promise of accepting returns.

(actually the auction says 60 day returns but buyer pays return postage... that would be to china... :S )

I actually got a full refund without needing to send it mine back laugh guess the sellers feedback is more important and a broken watch is no good to them.

Piccy. Sorry for the delay! It's much bigger than I'm used to, but it's a nice casual watch. Keeping good time.

If you're really, really wanting a cheap automatic, I've bought 3 sub-£20 Chinese automatics since starting this thread and all operate fine. Although you need to wind them up manually so they keep going overnight (unlike the Seiko 5), and while they can look nice at a glance they tend to have way too many useless dials and nonsensical design details so won't fit your classic/plain criteria. Plus compared a Seiko 5 they're massive.
