Hi guys, have been reading the forum for over 2 years but have only just joined, it looks like you guys know what you're on about !! I have a small collection of watches inc Rolex Milguass anniversary green and an Omega Alaska Project. I'm after the Omega moon watch platinum to add to my collection by i'm having not progress with the AD in the south west. I was thinking of contacting Dom H but as only a new member i thought that might be a little 'cheeky' !!

Any help would be great guys

TIA

Jamie

Hi there, sorry to burst the bubble but was in Watches of Switzerland (Oxford Street) in June in anticipation of the 40th anniversary edition coming out and the manager told me that Omega had already sold the 69 platinum editions (at £53,000 each) and that none of the AD's would even see one.

"cheeky"?!

I think that if Dominic can sell you one of these he should be funding the PistonHeads watch forum Christmas dinner, personally...

As long as it isn't in one of those two phone boxes across the road from you!

i LOVE the Omega alaska project but have never seen one in real life, if you don't mind me asking what price do they go for (i suppose they only have second hand ones now?)? I haven't seen any around..i usually look on watch finder and iconic watches for watches....i currently wear a panerai daylight which is a great great watch and keeps AMAZING time. but i have been thinking about getting an omega speedmaster or, i would prefer, the alaska project...

thanks!

Hi chris, I paid just under £2800 for mine but that was at heathrow airport in the departure lounge from watches of Switzerland. So I bascally got the duty and tax off. No AD's in Bristol could get hold of one. If you have any plans to go to new York they have one in the omega shop and also in bloomingdales as of last week !

Hope this helps.

Dom H, I'll be in touch by the weekend about the stainless seamaster moon watch.

Cheers

Ernest Jones in The Mall at Cribbs Causeway had one (Alaska Project) don't know if it's still there.
