i started to look for a his and hers (yea i know) hehehe pair of yachtmasters around the web for best prices and such either Uk or overseas purchased.
I was amazed to find many website promoting and selling "replica" watches and claiming that they are 99% to the original for a 1/20th of the price.

My question being is this in fact reality and that level of quality actually exists..?????? or are they all utter crap that last a couple of weeks..?

they seem to grade them as a swiss replica and virtually impossible to tell the difference...?

if this is the case more thinking will be needed wether or not i buy rolex.

Are you asking if to buy a fake or if not to buy a real rolex online/overseas as it might be a fake sold as real?

You can buy a cracking fake of most watches. They'll always be fakes though.

<YAWN>

It appears that use of the SEARCH function has been lost. Please refer to the roughly 1000 previous posts on this subject.

Yes, there are fakes. Yes some of them may be very good. They don't come with warranties and if you're asking this question, then you're probably not capable of telling which are good quality fakes and which are bad quality fakes.

And you're buying a fake, so if you like to buy fake stuff and only care about the appearance of having something expensive, go ahead and buy the fake. Don't be surprised if it breaks in a year or two. If it lasts longer, good for you.

There are differing opinions on whether you should buy a fake or not. That's up to you. I don't like fakes or, generally, the people who think that fakes are ok.

That's my take.

thanks for the comments to date... but back to my original question, and an answer i cant find in the search engine function, was simply ..

"do swiss rolex replicas actually exist at 99% the original?"

i assume that at 99% a professional would need quite a while to find the missing 1% and maybe most parts used would be sourced from the same supplier?

the intention of this post isnt is it good or bad to buy fake, or why do you want a rolex...its purely based on peoples knowledge here .....do these 99%ers exist?
Maybe if they do exist people in the game would be hard pressed to admit anyway...?

just one website example..

6. You say your watches are 99.9% exact to the real thing. Where did the .01% go?
If I say that our watches were 100% exact to the real thing, Rolex would be out of business. What you can expect is an amazing watch that will last you just as long as any genuine Rolex. The Swiss replica contains genuine Swiss-made parts, and is individually hand-crafted just like a genuine Rolex. The biggest difference between our watches and a genuine Rolex is that our watches do not undergo the same tests that a genuine Rolex undergoes. The procedures our manufacturer use to test the watches is slightly different, and less strict. Nevertheless, the watch is constructed to perfection and we guarantee that you will not be disappointed in any way.

Even if it were 100% it's still got a fake badge - I think it's rather ungentlemanly to sport something that isn't what it purports to be.

You can buy real watches for cheaper that do more than a Rolex can offer, if your not into the brand get one of these and be proud of your wise decision. If you are into the brand then what's the point buying a fake - it's simply not a Rolex however close to the real thing it may be.

From the outside, 99%? maybe. from the inside? no chance. Any reputable shop will be able to tell within half of a second that it's a fake (I would think)

If someone asked if it was real, what would you say ? Would you be embarassed ? If not then just buy one.

The real thing will always be worth a great deal in the money sense, the copy will be worth 12p as soon as the thing is removed from the bubble wrap.

As for 99.9 %, from what I've read the Hoblot Big Bang copys are pretty much 100%, with the back off and snooping around with a lope.

I wonder how many Rolex I see are real ? Given the amount of snide LV tat SWT's parade around, there must be a fair few at it.
