Breitling Aerospace help!

Hi all,
Hoping someone might be able to give me some help/advice.
Last week my trusty Areospace ran out of battery. It had been flashing for a while so that afternoon i dropped it into a local jeweller. I wasn't aware of of a Breitling dealer in town but the jeweller in question deals in Longine, Cartier and prides themselves for their repairs (looking at their website they are a recommended Omega repair centre) etc.. so i was comfortable that they knew what they were doing.
Cue me collecting the watch on Friday. Paid up and a cursory 'oh, just to let you know the analogue movement is ok but we seem to have lost the digital display' The top display doesn't work at all and a number of the lines in the bottom display now fail to work. And i'm not happy.
I left the watch with them and told them to please try and sort it out (before getting more direct with them) They accepted the watch and were comfortable to replace the batery. In 8 years it has never been a problem.
What should i do??? They seem a bit blase about the situation but last thing i want is a big bill from Breitling following a routing battery replacement.

I'd expect a fully working watch in return. If they can't do it, insist they send it to Breitling to get it sorted - at their expense.
^^ That.I would have thought they would be insured against such things? As accidents do obviously happen...
Oh and I would point out that if they were unhappy (or unfamiliar) with working on the watch, they shouldn't have started!
Sorry to hear about the issues with your Aerospace, but I would have send it direct to Breitling for the battery change. Might cost a little more, but any issues arising will be sorted direct.
In my past dealing with Breitling UK their customer service has been second to none and well worth the extra expense. I know this doesn't help you at the moment, but maybe next time.

Before going postal with your local bloke it might be worth having a read of the manual.
I can only speak from my experancies with my B1 but being a Breitling Analogue/Digital watch it's got to be similar.
After changing the battery if the battery has been out a while it can lose it's memory and the 2 readings get a bit confused, it was all covered in the B1 owners manual, it might not be the same but it's got to be worth a look, I'd take the manual to the jewellers and try it there, then if that fails it's their problem to sort...good luck.

Cheers guys - all really helpful information.
I'm heading down to the jewellers today and will see what they have managed to do. I didn't want to get heavy too early, but as said, they agreed to do the battery after looking at the watch and judging by what they deal with i can't imagine its the first time they have seen an aerospace.
Raceboy - will have a look at the manual - although its at my parents i'll be with them over Christmas.

Just called the jewellers concerned - apparently after re-setting the watch the display comes back for 20mins and then goes again. They say there is a circuit fault, of the type that can identify itself after a battery change and hence back to Breitling for a £300 service. hooray
had a look online at the B1 and Aerospace manuals but didn't see any relevant info.
How is it that Casio have mastered the quartz movement but Breitling at 10x the cost have curcuit faults.....
Not sure what to do now - just pick it up and live with it?
