Out of interest why would you wear a £3k watch to work in a warehouse? Just seems odd to me...

Cos he can. hehe

I was chatting to one guy at a climbing centre. I noticed he had a Rolex Sub on. If you see the state of my G-shock from climbing you'd not wear a Rolex to climb. He continued to climb and seemed pretty good at it. Too cool for words, really.

True, may seem a bit odd but I don't really spend on much else, no mortgage, happy with my car even though it's an R53 MINI, and have a relatively high disposable income. For this watch, it wil probably be closer to 2k rather than the 3k.

That wasn't my point and I don't get the impression he is that type of person so it was a genuine question, so can I wear my JLC to wash my Aston not that I would... rolleyes

Well, I know what you meant. My answer just implies that he wants to. One could ask why you don't wear your JLC to wash your Aston. I can guess the reasons. Maybe he doesn't care about those reasons.

check out www.iconicwatches.co.uk i like them as you can filter by price and by complication...so you can, for example, say.. show me watches between 2 - 3k that are new and they must have a chronograph..it will then give you a big list that fulfils your needs..even if you don't buy from them their filter system is a big timer saver!!!...just click "all watches" then use the left side bar....

Many thanks for your help, especially andy-tims (not the initial abuse, mind). Plumped for a Damasko DC66 in the end

Nice choice, a fantastic looking watch and pretty rare too - only ever seen one in the flesh.
