How many watches do you own?
Discussion
I have nine watches I feel I used to be a brand snob as my first two real watches were Cartier however i could only ever afford the quartz version.
Then I bought a Rolex explorer II and fell in love with automatic watches now I will buy anything I like the look of as long as its auto.

Not in the conventional sense - My collection goes from Rolex and Glashutte Original to Seiko and I've had inexpensive watches by Poljot, Marathon, MKII etc. but I wouldn't entertain "fashion watches" like Guess, D&G, TW Steel, Emporio Armani, Fossil or Gucci. If that makes me a brand snob - so be it.
same here, I have 7 watches ranging from a GP to a £35 chinese Parnis, but wouldn't really consider fashion brands. 1) Rolex datejust (1972) inherited from father.
2) Breitling Superocean Heritage (blue face, metal strap) LOVE IT!!! Gift to self 2008)
3) 2 werners flying watch models (copy of submariner, green face and strange but attractive wierd watch with leather strap and difficult to read time dials!
4) Swiss Army watch with tide table (not dissimilar to the Hamilton sailing watch)
5) Swatch Ski Pass watch circa 1999 (still going and bloody useful on the slopes!)
6) Longines dress watch purchased by an old flame back when I graduated in 1989.
Great memories associated so far with all my watches (except the Werners ones!)
As to watch snobbery, no but maybe a little! Wouldn't countenance buying a designer watch. Spent £800 on Burberry watches for me and wifey (no 1) back in 1989 and after a bit of a water problem with both of them discovered they were Avia watches with Burberry printed on them. Lesson learned! To clarify, that may not be the case now!

I have 17
From right across the range including Quartz, electronic and mechanical.
And all sizes from a 32mm Eterna to 44mm Panerai copy (I bought it to see if I could get on with something that big, and I can't so I don't wear it much and didn't go get the original I loved)
I'm not a snob, if I like it I'll see if I can afford it, but my tastes are changing and I'm beginning to really love mechanicals or 'hummers'

A few. Couple of G-Shocks, a CW C8, a Seiko Monster, a little (35mm) generic Swiss, a Seiko quartz and an Omega PO.
ETA: This is usually regarded by Mrs J as "too many", to which I simply reply, "shoes". I then hear the rejoinder "That's different!"
