Well, I like watches, and they don't have to particularly expensive ones either. I have a thing about not buying expensive after my Omega speedmaster fell off my wrist on the side of a vessel and I watched it disappear beneath the waves frown

Anyway, I have 15 watches, ranging from cheap Fossil type ones that are quite funky, to my brand new 2 G-shocks, (with one more on the way), and my auto Seiko, and Tag Aquaracer.

3 currently all bought as gifts for me, so I actually have yet to buy my own watch, but I have plans, oh yes!

Anyhow:

Amarni bracelet watch, my wife bought me many years ago when we first met, so holds sentimental value for me

Raymond Weil Tango - bought for me by a good friend

Omega Seamaster - bought by my wife a year ago as a Xmas present.

3 for me.

A TAG Carrera which I wear pretty much every day and really like the look of.

A Traser Black Storm which I wear for work as it's pretty much bomb-proof (touch wood).

A G-Shock with one of those canvas straps with the cover for over the face. It's in the US's digi camo colours and was given to me by a mate of mine as he knew I liked it and he felt guilty about forgetting my birthday. It's filthy and covered in dust and muck as he wore it in Afghanistan... I don't wear it a great deal as the strap's a bit too "look at me, aren't I trying hard".

My next purchase, cashflow allowing will be something like this:

Three.

The Casio that I picked up in Fuetaventura about ten years ago, the Sekonda I got from Luton airport about five years ago, and my most recent acquisition:

I'm sure they're nowhere near as exotic as some of the hardware adorning the PH collective wrist, but I've always been a sucker for cheapish, chunky diver's style watches.

At my peak about a year ago I had 23 ranging from a G Shock up to a Planet Ocean. Since 2007 I reckon I must have been through about 60 or 70 watches, always buying second hand and selling for what I paid for them.

Favourites have been a Damasko DC67, Sinn 857 and Breitling M1. Presently down to just two watches - a Sea Dweller and an Explorer II. (Though the urge to expand the collection is building again!)

Edit: Am I a brand snob? I'm not sure too many people are familiar with Damasko and Sinn, so probably not. Can't stand fashion watches but that's probably personal taste.

17.

Rado, Oris, Omega, Panari, Citizen, Swatch,4 Rolex, Cartier, Hugo Boss, Longines, Rotary, Raymond Weil, Patek (Inherited)

They range from £100. I do wear most of them often, prefer sport watches for work as more comfortable.

To the left of the orange faced watch on the bottom row. What is that? Looks very nice!

About 20

Am I a brand snob? Yes and no. Like many on here, I would never buy anything like an Armani, CK or similar but my collection is varied and wide-ranging:

$12 digital watch from Walmart. Huge display so ideal for running etc
Casio G-Shock G-100-1BVMUR (tiny digital display which you can’t see running!)
Homage Marina Militare 1950
Aeromatic Tri-phase regulateur from Werners
Omega Seamaster Pro
Rolex GMT Master (SS)
1969 Breitling Chrono-matic with Calibre 11 movement
Oris Miles Tonneau day-date
Fortis B-42 Pilot Professional Chrono
Glycine Lagunare 3000 Ltd Edition

Various old odds and sods that don’t really get worn:
Pulsar PVD effect quartz from 1986 (still working!)
1970’s Sekonda manual day-date (dial signed ‘Made in USSR’)
1920’s cushion shaped watch (gold electro-plated onto a brass case) with Swiss-marked ceramic dial
A brace of 50s/60s/70s Swiss pieces from brands such as Roamer, Solo, Salvest, Sea Hunter, Summit, GISA
Finally a couple of unbranded old swiss pieces

4
- One for work
- One for play
- One because it's so beautiful I had to have it
...and a G-Shock for the gym

It's the third one that I wear 90% of the time.

I think watches are more a man's thing than a woman's.

I have over 10, ranging from horrible pieces of junk from Hong Kong through to my UN, which is lovely.

As far as a brand snobbery goes it's a hard one to answer. I will admit that I do not want any thing from Rolex, purely because it is a Rolex.

Currently 14 and although I hate to admit it, I guess that I am somewhat of a watch snob. I can't stand certain brands (for ex. Graham, Bvlgari, Jacob & Co. & other gaudy styles) and love others (Unique stuff that really catches the eye - Urwerk, Sinn, Damasko, Panerai) - beyond that, it's not up to me what you wear as long as you like it.

Seiko Monster
Panerai White Base
Rolex Submariner
IWC Portuguese Chrono
Frederique Constant Moonphase Auto Calendar
Werner's Aeromatic Skeleton
Vintage Longines
Vintage Omega
Vintage Glashutte
Raymond Weil
Rado Jubilee
Vintage Fabre Leuba (stainless steel)
Vintage Fabre Leuba (gold)

and

a cheap Joe Boxer Craps(has 2 dice under the glass that you can roll) pocketwatch that is used as my card protector when I play in poker tournaments!
