4 nice ones and a couple of cheapies.
- 1980 Rolex Oysterquartz
- Breitling B-1 SQ
- Tutima Nato (Lemania 5100)
- 1974 Heuer Carrera (cal 12)

add to that a really old gold Smiths and a G-shock for the rough stuff. Everyone a different movement. I have to agree with the previous poster about movements, I never expected to become a movement snob (I see it as more coming to ones senses) but I really struggle with the high prices demanded for watches with tarted up common ETA or Unitas mechanical movements. Sadly this is a fairly large proportion of the market. I would love to have either a JLC or 1675 GMT master at some point. JLC in particular I put right up there which is why sometimes when you see the secondhand values you have to ask if there is something wrong with the world.

One thing I certainly am not is a quartz snob.

6 Watches, not a brand snob - I wear what *I* like the look of.

As for Fossil - don't they make most of the "fashion" watches such as Gucci etc. (which on principal I wouldn't buy, as I'd rather have one marked Fossil for 1/5th the price).

I actually really like Seiko watches - although they do seem to have got a bit boring of late IMHO on the design front.

I am one of the poorest here by far! I have just started a collection and have two Citizens; a classic-style one I bought when I was 15 and a titanium Eco-drive I bought last year. I'll probably buy a new one soon enough!

Don't, I feel so guilty about cashing in on your misery. I also got the SS-18 off you (a few years ago now).

You're lucky I didn't get my mits on the HHF yellow watch...

Not enough! frown I sold a few watches last year to fund the car habit and I now only have one; an Omega PO. However hopefully I'll be taking delivery of a Ball Hydrocarbon very soon! biggrin Just in time for the watch winder my girlfriend is getting me for my Birthday this weekend!

I wouldn't say I was a brand snob - I'm not keen on designer/fashion watches, but I will buy any watch that appeals to me ... An automatic movement and history behind the manufacturer or watch always makes it a bit more special, and to me, more desirable smile

Ive got two Fossil watches and I purchased them because they are of a very good quality and look good and are in my budget. It has nothing to do with the name. I do not consider Fossil to be flash at all. However both of the watches have had many compliments in the lifts at work or whilst out in the evenings. This is from people I dont even know.

I would never buy a high street branded watch EVER. I do not considre Fossil to be high streetm they started making watches before anything else.

I have a bunch of fossil watches, purely because of the design. They have a level of funkyness not found in other watches, certainly of that price range. Personally, I think they are VERY good budget-but-cool watches, so I wouldn't worry about it!
