So how many of you, whilst watching tv, or a film, spot a watch and go "that's a ......." or "wonder what that piece is"? I did it the other night whilst watching a Top Gear re-run.

Yep. Watching old films and noticing watches that I'd never noticed before.

So do we know any of the pieces that are worn on tv? Think someone said that Charlie Sheen in 2 1/2 men wears a Raymond Weil?

Clarkson wears an Omega Railmaster IIRC. Clearly, he works a lot in high magnetic fields.

Before Sly went all Paneristi on us, he wore a Chronosport UDT as Rambo. Not a lot of people know that.

Definitely YES. Not only that, I will root for the characters that wear my favorite watches even if they are the villains!

Not only am I but I now also have my missus doing it, it must be due to the fact I have been showing her so many pictures of IWC's over the last 12 months as hints for Christmas presents.

hehe I haven't watched the film just to see my watch, but it is pretty cool seeing the fairly obvious product placement close-ups and thinking to yourself, "Yeah, I have that watch on my wrist now!". Also the dialog between Bond and Vespa in Casino Royale - Rolex? No, Omega tongue out

Clarkson and Tom Hanks both wear Planet Oceans smile

I did watch End of Days, to see if the EOD AP ROO was from the film, or made after in honour of the film...

I don't think there is any geekness here...it's simply a regular male thing, watches.
