Left hand or right?

Which side do you wear yours?

I was just wondering if there are any unwritten rules with regards to this.

Left.
Facing outwards.

Anything else is just wrong.

Most people seem to wear their watch on their writing hand, but logically I wear mine on my left wrist, because it means the adjuster is accessable with my right hand.

Watch worn on right hand, I'm right-handed.

I've been wrong before......

Whichever hand, whichever way you like.

Personally I feel it looks a bit wrong if the watch is worn facing inwards.

Interesting that your user name actually relates to the 'left'(as opposed to 'dexter' for right, IIRC). Seems lefties are evil.

Sorry.

+1 for comfort (Went wrong-hand once because the bracelet of my new watch plucked a hair from my wrist once every 8 minutes and I needed a break)

If you're Right handed and someone asks you the time while you're holding a drink, what happens?

Answers on a post card.

I used to know someone who wore it facing inwards, so it sat in the inside of their wrist. Why would you do that?! Not only do you have to twist your arm to see the time, but the face would scrape against the desk if you're using a computer keyboard/mouse etc.

I'm right handed and have always worn my watch on the left, outward facing.
My Grandad used to wear his watch facing inwards and the reason was that it was less likely to get knocked/damaged. Since my 15 year old watch face has a small chip and a few scratches, he could well have been right smile

I am right-handed - picked the username shortly before looking the roots of the word sinister. But I do wear the watch on the left (when I wear one). Havent worn one for a few months now. Both my watches stopped working in quick succession and working in a hospital they have a stupid bare below the elbows rule for everwhere all the time - so just stopped wearing a watch.

Will have to pick up something nice when I finish at the hospital.

Mine is always worn left out. Which is better than mine being worn right out...

This is correct. Wearing a watch on the right wrist has always appeared to be totally without class, if I may be some stuffy

It's hardly a stupid rule, it's for infection control!

Watch worn on the left facing outwards.

If you wear one facing inwards, you are an utter mong.

I thought there was a clear watch wearing etiquette, clearly not.

No they dont. Most people wear it on the opposite side of the hand they write with....which makes perfect sense.

Watch on the right hand is ONLY ok if you are left handed...otherwise, weirdo.

Watch facing in...weirdo.

Watch on either wrist worn loose like a girls bracelet.......huge weirdo!
