Wouldn't it end up looking like b'stard lovechild of an Orange monster/werners/Omega PO... biggrin
You forgot the Sinn, Stowa MO and Speedmaster Pro. Apart from that, I think you've captured how it would look perfectly wink
Hmmm, with a Flieger dial and divers bezel, With a Toshi strap complete with solid end links hehe
Can someone with some Photoshop skills knock something up?

So far, we have flieger dial, divers bezel, Toshi strap, solid end links. I'd like to suggest it also has:
- sword hands
- a deployant clasp
- a Tourbillion
- a chronograph
- COSC-rating
- a GMT hand
- a power reserve indicator
- a display back
- waterproof to 10000 leagues under the sea
- a Panerai-style crown protector. On the left.

If there's any room left on the dial, a moonphase, equation of time indicator and a discrete Pistonheads logo could be applied. If anyone can think of anything else please add it!

The case could be made from steel recovered from the engine block of a crashed Brooklands Bentley.
wink

Here on PH we like to talk about cars, but we wouldn't dream of producing our own. The same is true of watches.
The PH shop would seem to suggest otherwise! wink

I think the point he is making is that you will happily sell t-shirts, cufflinks, and so on. How would a watch be 'out of the norm'?
The point I was making is that we don't have a cufflinks, T-shirts, fleeces or Umbrellas forum. These are incidental to the discussions in the PH forums, and therefore are fair game for a logo. However we do talk about the cars, cameras, computer games, boats, planes, bicycles, motorbikes and watches produced by other companies. We wouldn't pretend to think that PistonHeads could make a single product that would appeal to all our users in any of these categories, and so don't try to.

Ah ok, I think I get it thanks... you don't want to give the "Royal seal of approval" and suggest one watch is reccomended by PH above all others?

Not even as lofty as that. I just don't think we'd be as good at it as almost anyone else out there - much the same for cars, cameras etc. etc.

I have to admit I'm not sure I see the point at all. Pistonheads seem quite happy to stick their logo on all sorts of tat, sorry, quality merchandise, so how would sticking the logo onto a watch be any different?

Nope, not seeing it.
We have car forums and you sell car accessories, so whats the difference in selling a watch?

Fair enough. I've explained myself well enough for other people on the thread. Bottom line is, no branded PH watch.

Cheers,

.... Bistonheads 'homage' it is then.

In addition to the myriad of features proposed, I'd like to see a Sinn style oil filled case, Castrol GTX.

I've already worked out a way of mapping mine to get more performance. In fact, my PistonHeads watch (mapped) is the fastest production watch you'll ever see. Better than a Lange 1-Tourbillon, despite being only 5% of the price.

Yeah but there's big difference in getting a generic stock item and slapping on some branding & artwork, and actually commisioning the entire item from scratch.

As others have said, nice idea in theory, but the execution probably will be lacking somewhat.
