Peeps,

I've always hankered after a Breitling Aerospace (with leather strap); but could never justify the cost.

However, on the £50 thread there are some pics posted of the Tao International 'Bell & Ross BR03' hommage, which again has a dual analog/digital display. Which has a massive appeal - except I don't like the squareness of it; nor the width of the leather strap.

So, with all that in mind; are there any other watches of a similiar nature - closer to the price range of the Tao?

I always fancied an old Chronosport, the predecessor to the Brietlings and mil issue to boot.

I'm sure the real B&R and the Aerospace share the same movement.
There is an ani-digital Miyota movement, which i guess would be in that £50 watch.
There are bound to be many more

Ohhhh - now I do like that. I wonder if they do it with a leather strap smile

Google, here I come!

ETA: It's ones with dual LCD displays that does it for me smile

Citizen do a quartz something that might appeal. Going secondhand for around £100. I can't remember what the model number is, but I think cmdrbond had one.

Yeah, that was mine biggrin I extracted my suggestion of a WaveCeptor, as it only had one digital display - I thought there was a dual display Swiss Army watch! Good find! It looks nice too! thumbup

Top find Mr. End thumbup

The dark grey one (on the left) looks absolutely stunning cloud9

I think my search has now come to an end, unless that can be beaten. It's exactly what I was after!

Time to start saving, now that I have a budget to work to (and sell off my Omega and Breil) - and start shopping around for the best place to buy.

On a side-note, I came across tz-uk.com site - but it does not allow new registrations. Anyone know the score there?

CmdrBond bought a great looking 'affordable' on another website a couple of weeks ago.

If he's reading this, what was it as I can't find the original advert ?

I believe Eddie has closed registration to new users, as recently there was a new user who spammed a whole host of porn site URLs hehe It's a huge shame, as it has a very active sales forum and lots of useful information ... Punish many because of a few frown

As for the Swiss Army watch, here is a good place to start on price: http://www.precisiontime.co.uk/victorinox-swiss-ar...

£660 smile

Here is another well worth considering -

I had this for a while last year and bought it from e-bay seller - Oh Clock.

And my Casio WaveCeptor is very nice indeed, doesn't show it very well on the photos, but the face has a very nice metallic sheen to it.

Good luck with your search, and let us know what you eventually choose.

Vintage I know, but just out of interest -

Chronosport UDT, same movement then used on Brietlings etc.
