Hi all, not sure if such a thing exists but had a break-in last night in which they took the car but they also took 7 watches.

I have the serial numbers so was wondering if any of the manufacturers operate a register to register stolen pieces? In particualr an IWC,Panerai and 2 Omegas went.

Don't expect to get them back but would like to make it difficult for anybody to move them on.

Thanks

Sorry to hear about the theft. I don't know about Panerai and Omega but IWC definitely maintains a register. Go to their web site and send them an e-mail.

Hi,

Call Richemnot UK to report the IWC and Panerai,

Richemont Uk
Empire House 175 Picadilly,
London,
W1J 9EN

02072905120

call Omega or Swatch UK to report the Omega.

The Swatch Group (UK) Limited
Building 1000
2nd Floor East Wing
The Royals Business Park
Dockside Road
GB-London E16 2QU
Phone: +44 845 274 3500
Fax: +44 845 274 3500

It's also worth e-mailing the factory to report them. You'll need a crime reference number to confirm their loss. If they're ever submitted for service, they should be retained and you should be informed.

Sorry to hear of your loss.....

It may be worth letting some of the watch enthusiast forums know so if any come up for sale on ebay and the like then they will be easily identifiable.

Sorry to hear about your loss, that sucks.

Do they let people contact them to check a watch is not stolen before you buy?

Thanks for the info all.

I've already contacted IWC directly and they've been helpful and have sent me a form.

I'll also call the UK branches to register the theft as you've suggested. As I said, I'm not expecting them back but just want to make it hard for the thieving scum to shift them.
