Tag Heuer Monaco/Gulf buy now or wait until BaselWorld 2010?

I'm looking to get my hands on a Tag Heuer Monaco (CAW2111) or Monaco Gulf (CAW2113) for my 40th birthday. I really wanted the older Monaco Gulf version (CW211A) with the black strap and orange stitching but these are no longer made and difficult to get hold of…

… If anyone knows of one going spare please let me know!!!

Now I'm sure many watch aficionados will probably point out that I could get a better watch for less money, but to be honest I really like the design

Given the BaselWorld 2010 exhibition is March, is it worth holding off on any purchases until after the show - what are the odds of a new Monaco Gulf 'limited edition' or new version of the Monaco chronograph being launched? Any insiders want to spill the beans?!?! Given it is also the 150th anniversary of the company, then I guess there will be something new on offer… And before anyone asks, the Monaco V4 is a bit out of my price range!!!

I'm looking to sell mine if you fancy!
I have the black face type with black strap, I bought it from Beaverbrooks on 18th DEC 2003 along with my TVR Griff (now gone), Tag Monaco is boxed with papers and serial number card.

Gav, I'd wait if I were you. I'm to the Basel Fair on Friday 19th, I'm going with my TAG AD so I'll be seeing all the new pieces. I had a look for the 211A, and these are all sold through....

I had the first Monaco gulf and loved it, but got stolen just after christmas. I've just ordered the new monaco ls as my replacement. I did consider the new gulf, but it looks no way as good as the old one. Looking forward to getting my ls though.......
