Have a reasonably cheap Seiko Titanium Chrono (quartz) that could do with a little scratch removal... Went into a few jewellers and they said that although it can be done it wasn't cost effective on a watch of that price

they are just light scratches, nothing deep but some are quite close to the glass (so need care)

any ideas about this? Can it be done reasonably cheaply...

Get yourself a titanium re-finishing pad from one of the sellers on ebay. Looks like a scotchbrite pad, but much finer. Should remove the scratches, but remember to only use it in one direction to ensure a consistent finish. smile

The pad is the way to go to get a matt finish, if its poliched try the pad then a bit of brasso or silver cleaner. Better still avoid titamium watches! Ive had two and keeping them looking good is a pain...
