Bonus time, and I think it's a good time / excuse to upgrade from my Seiko. Currently torn between a Sinn 856, Sinn U1 and the ever elusive Damasko DA36. One problem is that I've never seen any of these (or their closely related brethren) "in the metal".
Is there anyone here with one of the above, or similar, who'd let me have a butchers?
I work on George Street, will happily shout you a sarnie / coffee / pint.

cheers, Nick

Miles away, so can't help.

But, if you pop an email off to Neil at Chronomaster, I'm sure he'll explain about his returns policy. You can order the watch, and if you decide you don't like it, you can just send it back and get a refund. You will need to cover the postage back to him, though.

I'm sure you won't be disappointed with the Sinns.

Be happy to but don't have the ones you want to see, as above, give Neil a call and see what he can do for you. Happy hunting - the 856 and U1 are spot on.

Sinn's are really nice. Weighty and well made, but at 38mm they can look a bit small. I tried on some at Jura in London this week though and actually really like them. I might well treat myself...

I have a DA37 in Glasgow, loving it so far! At least once I got it off the black leather Damasko strap and onto a brown "bund" type. It also looks great on a green NATO.

What he said ^^^

The only thing to be prepared for with the 856 is that it will probably be a smaller watch than you'll expect it to be. At least it was for me. I'm wearing it now (UTC version) and love it to bits.

Agree about Sinn sizes. As one of the older members who need five foot arms to read a watch without my "granpa" specs, I love my IWC Spitfire but would love a Sinn too and even wrote to Neil asking that he suggest to the factory a 42/44mm model.Awaited!

Thanks all. Tried a Fortis B42 Flieger and a 40mm Flieger on for size today. Hated the styling of the 40mm, far preferred the B42 (nice strap too, quite wide).
Will prob arrange some "vital" business in London and swing by Jura for a look / try on

Although - if I see a DA36
for sale, I may just buy; should be able to move it on again no bother if we don't get in.
