Made a decision - Omega Speedmaster Day-Date
Discussion
I have been agonising for years on a watch purchase and to be honest I have always found something else for the money to go on. I have a couple of reasonable watches (Hamilton Khaki, Raymond Weil Tango and a Seiko Kinetic SM63) but I had always hankered after an Omega.
Last year I almost bought an Oris as it was half the price, but I decided to save my money and go for this...
I am very pleased, a decision that must be close to 10yrs in the making

1) Glad you're finally happy.
2) Hope you haggled hard for a good discount.
3) Loads of people will say "should have gone for the Professional" but if it's for daily wear, the lack of a date function can be quite annoying and the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal is way more practical than hesalite.

Fantastic watch!
I have the same model (although a slightly earlier one, so the font on the counters is a bit different) and it is cracking.
As Andy said, some people refer to the 'non-Pro' watches as not proper Speedmasters, tosh IMO (but I would say that! ) and I much prefer having the date! Lovely watch...
