I am looking to buy the significant other a new watch and want something a bit different - she likes watches with mother of pearl faces and preferably something with a metal strap.... ideas??

I'm sure there's a Longines 'Dolce Vita' or two (tank style) which could fulfil your requirements.

Sinn do a rectangular mother of pearl Titanium ladies iirc, along with a copper, galvanised black and new brown versions.

Out of left field appears an Omega Seamaster Quartz.

Well below your budget, though, is a Christopher Ward Divine Ronde.

Keep the change?

Does it have to be new?

Just treated my better half to this (Ebay).

Same vendor has a few similar refurbs/rebuilds.

How about a classic ladies stainless Ebel with mother of pearl?

Hi theoldfm

I have a brand new Ladies Tag Heuer Aquaracer, never worn with all paperwork and documentation. It is the one finished in stainless steel with the mother of pearl face. The RRP was £850 I would sell it for £650 if you were interested?

my wife has one of these - very nice watch. Bought with on a braclet but this wasn't used until a few days ago (normally goes on a baby blue or cream Hirsch strap).

When comparing prices be mindful that they do a diamond and non-diamond marker version (i.e. don't think you've found the bargain of the century when comparing a daimond with a non-diamond).
