(I'll delete if you want - but don't shoot from the hip - just buy a nice old Sub if you want. Fit the bracelt/clasp you like. Take it back off and put the original back on when you sell?)

No idea RE fitting a DSSD/new Sub bracelet.
But having worn my Sub for a while now I am loving the feel of it and can see exactly why people love them. smile

This though-

Yeah, that was the idea. Got distracted along the way talking bks, that's why I deleted the post. Quote it in full if you wish, I'm sure the ridicule will come tomorrow.

I was wondering whether they fitted really - the new Sub / SDDS is a much bigger watch but from the pics the bracelet looks the same size (people have complained about the SDDS being such a chunky watch that it should have a wider bracelet), and that should fit easily onto a 40mm SD. Or, since the new Sub bracelet has polished centre links and the old SD doesn't... forget swapping the entire bracelet and just swap the clasp.

It's only the clasp that lets down the old models... but I'm being picky, they're exceptionally comfortable to wear.

By all means change the bracelet if you want to. Few people would know and if anyone does query it just tell them you prefer the bracelet you have on now. Can't see anyone having a problem with that unless they are really snobby, and then who cares what they think?

Why does heavy mean better quality anyway? The lighter the better I think. Get a Doxa Sub 800Ti Titanium. They don't all come in orange.

WOW, great post CF and thanks andy s for capturing it. CF do what the fk you like. Frankenwatch? Who gives a st, you want what you want and if different pieces of the jigsaw actually fit together to satiate that need, then do it. Get what you want and not what the manufacturers tell you you can have. The only caveat I have is that you felt the need to delete your initial post! Your outpourings on this forum and others on PH, including especially the mephedrone debate, provide more insight than the very best paid article writers could ever achieve. I have a few favoured writers covering various genres including Ken Kessler at hi-fi choice and Steve Cropley at Autocar. When it comes to drugs and watches, your thoughts and musings are unmissable mate bowtie
