I've always liked the 50 fathom Blancpain and treat it as a bit or a Grail that I will have one day, but this really is special

Why on earth would you sell something like that on ebay... if it did sell for it's US$45,500 price, the ebay fees alone would be stupid.

Surely no genuine collector with that kind of cash lying round would buy on ebay, it would be a privately sourced from an AD type piece???

You'd be surprised at the number of watches at this price & above on ebay. Nothing really to stop the parties doing an off ebay deal either, once contact is established to avoid the fees issue. Just so long as they don't make a habit of it.

Bloody wonderful watch BTW

Absolutely stunning looking watch.

I have a FF chrono and this takes the main design cues and takes it to another level.

The fees are very cheap compared to a traditional auction house, where fees are normally upwards of 15%. Here's a copy of ebay's fees for a business seller.

"8.75% of the initial £29.99 (£2.62) + 5.25% of the initial £30.00 - £599.99 (£29.93) + 1.5% of the remaining balance of the final selling price."

As this is a 'Piece Unique', you won't find another anywhere, let alone in the AD network....
