Am I right in thinking that the movement in this:

Will be the same ETA 2892-A2 (omega 1128) movement in my Seamaster 300 M GMT, except without the finish to make it a chrono?

I've changed my mind, the Tissot PRS516 AUTOMATIC is next on my lust list. They do a chronograph version too, which is something qhich I wanted on my next watch. I just love how the hands go under the hour markers biggrin Also it has the 7750 movement which is nice =]

I've a similar Hamilton Khaki Navy GMT watch that contains the ETA 2893-1 movement, apparently:
http://watches.zsebehazy.com/navy_gmt.htm
That one at Ernest Jones looks very similar (same crowns and functions) so I guess that would be a 2893-1 movement too.

I bought the wife this watch but without the diamonds - reduced from £750 to £375. I know it's nothing fancy but hopefully she will like it.

Just passed our local Ernest Jones and they had a few Tag's in the window in the sale which I didn't notice on that website. Maybe worth popping in if you're on the lookout. I got my Carrera from there a few years ago at £1300.

What he said! Called my local store to ask them to reserve a Rotary watch I'd spotted in the sale but that had sold out online, but then when I went to pick it up the store had a really big selection in the sale, the vast majority of which aren't online.

So picked myself up a very nice Nautica instead!

Well worth taking a detour to your local EJ, especially if you're looking for something that initially cost around £300 and you're reasonably flexible on what you want.
