I'm fancying an MTG next.

Something like this:

...although 300+ quid for a G-Shock feels a bit steep!

Cyberface, the bathing ape watches are nothing more than a limited edition watch linked to a clothing company popular with rappers. The watches themseles are the same modules and designs as normal g's. Hugely over hyped and priced, and more faked than any other g-shock.

The amount if £20/30 "Bape" watches on eBay is laughable, especially when you realise that they are not even real g-shocks, let alone real "Bapes".

hehe

On the plus side, the sort of people who buy a £20 Bape are not likely to be doing anything a G-shock is remotely designed to do (bar tell the time).

Mine gets used a lot, hence the the colour now, its been mountain biking, surfing, windsurfing dropped from great hieghts, stood on kicked, the dog chewed it once, it fell into a tub od navy blue paint !

Its just had its day now, still works fine is just a bit manky looking

I know i said i thought the black watch at the start of this thread seemed a bit militant, but think seeing it in the flesh today they look good, have found this one, seem like a fair price any one bought from here before ?

Considered a WaveCeptor instead? I've got a WVQ-570, it's taken one hell of a beating (dug a hole in the plasterboard of the downstairs hall by accident while moving heavy furniture), and there's not a scratch on it.

Plus it's kept on time by the Rugby time signal, which is a nice geeky feature.

The strap is a bit pants, though - I replaced the rubber thing with a black Seiko NATO style strap.

The GW 2000 is getting to be a bit of a bargain now :

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Casio-GW-2000-1AER-G-Shock...

I don't have one (yet), but believe they are a bit of an ar$e to set up.

Mudmans (Mudmen ?) are the perfect holiday watch though.

yes

Got a military green one for £50 recently and it provided sterling hollybob service. Took some stick without blinking (which would have done some decent damage to my PO) and had it not for any reason, so what, you buy another.

Not bought from them before, but you can get the watch from Ticktox.

I'm sure he does a price matching aswell.

I've bough from him before, as have several others on here. Good service and really quick delivery.

I have an older version of that Gulfman. Has titanium bits so it won't rust, and is super comfy, wearing smaller than it's size.

The bolts on the shoulders on the Gulfman are functional whereas I think the screws into the face of the rescue are just for show. That would swing it for me I think.

Depends on a lot of factors like budget, requirements, purpose etc

I have just never understood the appeal of G-Shock watches.....

£50 - £100, needs to be able to come to the beach with me, go in the pool with me, take it snorkling, then when i get home it needs to come climbing with me, and then its got to stay on wrist while i do some manly DIY, and then work on the car.
