OK I'll ask, what is 'snowflake', heard it banded about a few times, is it the square blob instead of the ban the bomb on the hour hand?

Yeah, big square hour markers and the square markers on the hands.
Whereas the one's on my Tudor Sub are as per a contemporary Rolex Sub.
