Daytona waiting list?

Wow, that's a huge amount of money. I agree with the above, I'd find it hard to justify that amount.
Not that I want a Daytona, but a 2006 SS / black dial one just sold very easily for £5,750 on TZ-UK so whilst it may have cost a few quid to buy, it's a cheap (if not profitable) watch to own over the course of a few years.Stuart said:

Thanks - better get saving then. Am I right in my assumption that bi-metals do not carry a waiting list?
Correct. Just like the SS, it would seem..I'm now trying to rob my granny* to afford it.
There are no waiting lists in reality just now, i'm glad i sold my Daytona when i did.
Ironic that my Tudor Oysterdate Chrono is worth more now...
*I'm not going to rob my granny as she's dead
I'd love to know where you managed to pick up a SS Daytona with no wait at list price. Most dealers in the UK I've spoken to have a 4 year waiting list and some were not taking any more orders at all.
The shortest wait I found was 9-12 months in at an AD in Paris where I am assured I'm next on the list.
Did you purchase the watch in the UK?

I walked into an AD in the Middle East..out of the safe came a SS with white face...at equiv of 6400 gbp....The shortest wait I found was 9-12 months in at an AD in Paris where I am assured I'm next on the list.

I think that's because a lot of people think that's bks nowadays, a yarn spun by ADs to keep a big 'waiting' list going.m12kop said:
The reason i asked is because today i walked into rolex dealer not being on the list, 5 mins later i'm the proud owner of ss daytona with black face, very happy
So why ask the question?Edited by m12kop on Monday 13th September 20:55
You know the answer through experience (rather than relying on the heresay of a website forum).
Or are you hoping that you have been really, really clever and jumped a seven year waiting list?
