The previous version has a painted (or silk-screened or whatever) bezel; the new version has a fancy-pants ceramic bezel.

I like the look of the new bezel but Rolex have buggered up the lugs something awful. On the plus side, the watch has a proper clasp at last. On the downside, it still has the ghastly cyclops (Dear BBC, why oh why don't Rolex just put a bigger date wheel/window in the watch if they're that bothered?).

Laings in Glasgow had an LV sub in the window a week or so back.
Perhaps worth giving them a call. 0141 221 7199 ask for Grant, he's the watch guy.

Gent has purchased a GMT Master II, good choice.
