List on a stainless Daytona is £6310.
I had the chance of one on this week but the timings wrong for me..
Off a list? From a reseller? Or just another story about seeing one in a shop window? I had the chance of one on this week but the timings wrong for me..
As for Sub Cs, there have been a few NIB on TZ-UK for circa £4.4 asking (I believe at least one is still there, offered by a very reputable chap)
I've seen a couple of Sub-C's under list now and they tend to go pretty quick.
Why are these below list?? Well they're either being bought with discount vouchers (10% goldsmiths or ernest jones / tesco clubcard points etc........ or they're hitting the SH market through unscrupulous dealers knocking them out through mates........or they're being bought VAT free like at City airport etc......
I doubt these will ever shift for much more than a couple of hundred quid below list for quite some time and by that time I expect RRP will be up? All in all a pretty safe place for cash, doubt will ever turn a big profit though - although lets see what the next 5 years do to Rolex RRP's!!

Going back to the original thread I have just heard that Rolex are putting their prices up next week by an average of 6%. Does beg the question whether they live in the real world or are just taking the p*ss...
As I am nearly at the top of the list for a SS Daytona makes you wonder whether the premimum for getting an unworn used now isn't so bad?

See this thread for details.
Basically, they had one coming in and gave me first refusal on it. I just didn't expect it so quickly.
The jewellers in question do not operate a list, they have a watch club with an online forum and generally post on there when they get a Daytona (or any other sought after watch) offering them on a first come first serve basis.

Are my eyes deceiving me or are the digits on the ceramic bezels (Deepsea and Submariner) a bit inaccurate and at strange angles to each other and to the graduations?
Y'know, looking at my DSSD, I think you're right! My '55' min marker on the bezel is at an angle!Gassing Station | Watches | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
