I've just purchased the above new. Spanking looking watch but I'm a little concerned. The automat self winding seems noisy. I've had automatic watches before but don't remember the auto winder being at all audible when kicking in. I'm going to go to a different dealer to check out the same watch, to see if that's the same. Just seems a tad unusual to me. Any thoughts chaps?

I have a fairly new Longines that is also rather noisy compared to my other auto. I just see it as part of its character, though.

Thanks. Movement: L705 self-winding mechanical movement beating at 28'800 vibrations per-hour and providing 46 hours of power reserve.
Thank you for your reply.

Sorry I don't have that one in any of my watches. I think you ridea of trying another is a good idea.
