i'm wondering if spending a couple of £000 would go further on a decent 2nd hand one.
Always & particularly with Breitling as the don't have the most solid residuals out there. If you use the search, or trawl back through the threads here, there have been several on S/H dealers.

lets you search most of the on-line watch fora sales sections, but you usually need to be a member (with a minimum post count) to respond / contact the sellers. Will give you a good idea what's out there though.
I have a white with black face Montbrillant Olympus (A19350) with a black leather strap.
Watch is mint, with all papers and boxes etc. Strap has signs of wear.
I am not actively selling it, but if you were interested I would sell for a very competitive price.
I think it lists at around £5K new.

If you are looking to buy new then I'd recommend Banks Lyon in Lancaster they will sell to you wherever you are though. They are very competitive on prices. You can google them for their details. If you speak to Aziza tell her Stefan sent you. She just did me a great deal on the new Limited Edition Navitimer that's due out.
I also have one for sale which I'm about to put in the For Sale section.

Can personally recommend Blowers. Others speak well of DomH on here.
what he said. got mine from Blowers (Navitimer) as new and it is in perfect condition but slightly less than "new" price. fantastic knowledge in there and great customer careAs far as buying a Navitimer from them at slightly less than the retail price is concerned, well, I wouldn't. I'd buy somewhere else for a lot less than the retail price. As others have said on here, of all the 'prestige' brands, Breitling is the one where you really get shafted when you want to move it on. Most of the well known traders will either give you a real bend over and spread price, or they won't even make you an offer on it.
If I was looking at buying another Breitling, I'd be looking at somewhere like TZ, and I'd be buying a clean example from someone who's already taken the big hit on the new price. But, it's your money.
