Any good? Seems like a lot of watch for the money...what is their reputation like?
I need a new watch, preferrably with a leather strap. Needs to look elegant and simple.

So far I'm thinking of:
- Hamilton Jazzmaster Rose Gold - http://www.ernestjones.co.uk/webstore/d/6209998/ha...
- Baume & Mercier Classima XXL http://www.jurawatches.co.uk/Baume-et-Mercier/Clas...

Any other suggestions? Looking for something along these lines and below £2k.

Cheers

Hi there,

Hamilton make some very nice civvy and military watches, I've never handled a Baume so can't comment.

I've got a Hamilton, navy gmt, and I really like it. Good value for money, well made and, so far, been pretty accurate.

Never seen your other option, but that Hamilton is a really stunning watch.

I don't think you'll go far wrong with the Hamilton, though I'm a big fan of both of these -

Stowa Antea?

Junghans Max Bill?

I quite fancy one of these Hamilton Khaki pilots, good movement and great build quality for the money apparently.

I'm just a bit worried that 46mm might be a bit too big, will have to see one in the flesh and try it on before I can decide.

If not that then maybe this for half the money, and slightly more sensible size at 44mm.
