Sorry can't search as I'm on my phone.

Has anyone any experience of this brand?
There are some listed on fleebay but the pictures are poor.
There is precious little else info elsewhere?

Cheap Chinese 'homage' watches that take design inspiration from such makes as Panerai, U-Boat and IWC. However the build quality of them is very good, which makes them a popular choice on a sub-£100 budget. A large part of the range also incorporate Asian automatic movements.

Alternatively, check out Tao International ... Similar stuff! smile

Is there a more legitimate way of buying them.
Never a great fan of eBay but if needs must then so be it.

According to members on Watchuseek: http://www.manbushijie.com/

I've never used them, so cannot comment. However supposedly if you register, you receive some discount!

I'm wearing my Parnis Power reserve Portugese looky like (i.e. 2 sub dials top and bottom but one seconds the other power reserve unlike the portugese which is a chronograph and has pushers)

I've had mine over a year, keeps good enough time I don't need to adjust it in the 'week at a time' I wear it.

I have it on a blue Toshi so the straps worth more than the watch.

Finish on the outside is surprisingly good considering. inside is a chinese movement I've noticed on mine one of the screw holding the movement in is blued and another is chrome - but hey you get what tou pay for.

However I have heard of some quality issues with the movement more than anything else.

I really like mine its a regular wearer getting an outing probably every 6 weeks or so for a week at a time. I even wear it on 'smart occasions' as its dressier than all others but my Tourbillon.

I have made an offer on one on fleebay.
I have the fear about Chinese based web sites.
They call it a Speedster looks well with a perforated strap. 40mm dial chrono look.

I had one of those, they are quartz and tat. The strap is worse than you can imagine. I gave $20 for mine and that was too much.

I suspect it's a different factory for the quartz Parnis.

No, I don't believe so, there appears to be several groups of people churning them out.

This was mine:

I've never seen a similar one, before or since.

Where did you source that one?
I would like a reliable(er) source than China or USA.

Chinese eBay seller called Parnistime, but he rarely has any up for sale these days.

It was cheap, <$30, and a reasonably nice watch.

I have bought a few from this site http://shop.ebay.com/merchant/xiaosong12580_W0QQ_i... and never had any problem, delivery takes 7 - 10 days, no problem with customs and the watches are very good quality.

Why don't one of you enterprising types create a UK Parnis/Tao presence?

It would seem it would be fair idea.
Unless they are a warranty mare?

No idea; never tested one long-term or "under pressure". Never run a drop shipping business either. Anyone got an old Parnis they don't mind having destroyed? I'll take it climbing a few times and see how it fairs.
