Unmarked police?
Discussion
I don't think this forum has a thread like the S Wales one for unmarked police you've seen- just to be on the safe side, and also in case anyone sees anything particularly unusual.
I'll start:
Dark grey Skoda Superb saloon LK59ALU seen very near Parkside Police Station, driver in uniform and strobes behind grille (not on).
Would this be a traffic car (the VR6 is quick), a senior officer's personal car or something else?
I've not seen a police Superb before, and it's interesting that Cambs would be driving one with a London registration...

Has great legroom in the rear for writing tickets...
Its not from Porkside either.
Senior officers have Volvo Cross Country's and yes, it is a Traffic car.
We have a few.
Seen an unmarked silver BMW 3 series rolling around MK. Thankfully, he showed me his shoulder badge before I got to illegal speeds...and, thankfully, my slow-ass car couldn't reach those speeds anyway!
But yeah, the Vauxhall police cars are OU/OV as they come from Oxford way I believe. The BMW definitely wasn't, though.

Most of the police unmarked cars in herts start with OU.\
I have seen 3 vectras with OU
The most common i have seen in Harpenden /St albans is a grey VW golf estate OU09 CTE. most of the time the Herts coppers use plain clothed officers.
Keep and eye out!
I saw an OU11 registered Vectra or Insignia or whatever the Vauxhall crap is these days, being driven like it was stolen near Harpenden yesterday. If that was unmarked plod I'd like to think they'd have more sense than to do some of the overtakes I saw!I have seen 3 vectras with OU

I remember being behind a Vectra unmarked car between harpenden and St albans. I was in the Noble and he was really holding me up (30 mph) obviously waiting for me to go around him. When he realised i wasnt going to overtake he accelerated to what must have been at least 100, sped all the way down Luton road and went into BP harpenden for a chat with some other officers! They are always trying to get me to do something that would warrant a stop, normally means sitting on my bumper!
It does not surprise me hearing about the insignia unfortunately
Hahaha - I know the Silver Insignia well - he didnt like my cornering speed round the South Mimms roundabout where I managed to clear 3 sets of lights without them going red- I got the siren treatment on the 4th set when I had to wait and I was just about to drop the clutch on the Amber!!!
