ben came by and worked on my car for 4 hours today..... concentrated on things i wanted, which was the paintwork..... car was clean to start, quick detail and microfibre, isothingy prep and clan, machine polishing of panels with a glaze followed by coat of autoglym HD wax...
in a nutshell....
am i happy with the work done.... yes
would i recommend him..... yes
is he value for money..... yes
would i use him again..... oh yes
are you a relative or friend.... no, this forum and thread is were i met him!

okay, can;t post more pics from work, will do so later......
ther car had light swirl marks that were visible in certain light conditions only, the rear end paint was looking dull, it has been 10 months since its last enhancement detail, and i wanted her to have a machine polish, something i do not own.....
i booked ben as after chatting on the phone i felt he understood i was not after a perfect paint correction detail... that requires a lot of time and effort.... and it would be cheaper to hire him than go buy my own DA polisher.... with which i would have no experience....
the car was parked outside in the shade and with floodlights we checked the paintwork.... a panel was done at a time, and with one stage using meguire's pro glaze and a hex pad, the swirls went under the flodlights.... i'm no expert so i cannot say if they were filled or removed.... this was topped off with autoglym hd wax... this is a good wax from what i gather, infact, i didn;t have a problem with the fact that most of the products he uses are meguire's or autoglym....
in direct sunlight, there are still a few swirls visible at the right angle, i assume these are deeper, and would require a proper correction detail.... i didn;t request or pay for this, and therefore am okay with them still being there.....
the car's paint does look a lot better, and there are significantly fewer swirls, so i am happy..

the before pics of swirls didn;t come out... guess my camera is not good enough! bear that in mind for some of these threads you see of cars attacked with brillo pads...
but before
and after
residual swirling, look closely, around the sun reflection....
i daren;t post this in the detailing section, there's a war raging over there.....
