well.... two things.... would like the regulars to state their views.... PM me if you want

firstly there is this.... only negative is it is in late november, unlikely to snow, but u never know...
http://www.charityraceexperience.com/car-clubs/
we could either go as a club, and convoy there, to display our cars in a static display...
we could even join the PHEA display.....
or we could sign up individually to actually drive our cars on track to raise money....
personally, i would rather the driving option.... but you have to apply and be accepted....

secondly, following the AM visit, the stakes are well and truly raised for keeping our monthly meets more than just a car park breakfast meet.... me and pete will try......
just looking for your thoughts on further plans....
tunnel run again.. hatfield that is....
passenger runs (short rides to others at the meet, i know there are cars i would like to experience)
b road blat
anything else...

I'm up for the charity event. Good to help these causes wherever possible. Doubt I'd get accepted on track now as I believe that there are already three Evos going round (plus be better to leave to you Lambo, Ferrari, AM & Porsche owners) but I'm happy to convoy up and park up with any others who are not tracking.

Regarding the Clophill monthly meets, I know some good routes in and around Baldock if you ever want to extend the tunnel run and I'm happy to lead it. I also know where the Ostmidlandschleife (one of Evo magazine's test routes - a 20-odd mile ring ...) and would be happy to lead a run up to and around that as well if desired.

Best regards,

Daz

Oh, just to add, could always consider on of the Evo magazine trackday afternoons at Bedford when they start up again next year. Is always a nice atmosphere there and get the opportunity of passenger rides in some of their cars. Only problem may be noise tests ...

I'm up for this I think. All in good cause but a little late in the year. Dont worry Mohan, if it snows you've got 4WD ! Would be looking to track if possible.

Bar is set high re the meets. Thinking caps on lads.

okay, car clubs have to have signed up by the 18th september...... so we can;t go as the fly supercar club, we can however join the PHEA display....
http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
i have asked iluvmercs if there is a list or is it by PM only.....

think i am going to apply to drive, though need to check with insurers re this as it is on track...
might be good fun just to be there and hear the cars running on track whilst also raising money with our cars parked up....

lets start a list....

tonyF - drives if accepted, else PHEA display
70proof - drives if accepted else PHEA display
evo9ution - PHEA display
BarryP - assume you will apply to drive?
DBlue - again, applying to drive?

Hi guys, if your happy to have me i'd be glad to support the charity day, i'm more than happy taking my beast round a track wink lol,

In regards to future things we can do, i have a few contacts i could get in touch with. I have the number for the marketing assistant for Ferrari north Europe so giving her a shout and seeing what Ferrari can do for us is an idea. i also have contacts at thruxton and a couple of other tracks who may wish to throw some stuff our way once they see the potential in hosting such a large number to exotic cars.

At the end of the day its YOU guys that create that potential, i'm just thrilled to keep coming along to these meets, talking to you guys and learing about you cars, you've all been very welcoming to me even tho im rocking up a corsa, but with your backing hopefully i should be able to put some stuff in the pipeline for future events.

let me know what you guys think to these ideas.

Everyone should go out tomorrow and buy an Abarth 500, AMAZING little car, i've been lucky to drive supercars, hothatches, sport salloons modded cars etc and i have to say that was one of the most impressive. The 1.4 turbo is a powerhouse and in the corners it just gives and gives and gives, you never feel like it's going to run out of grip. 10/10 and prices start at £15,000........ BARGAIN!!!

Up for a charity event...there is a charity called Sporting Bears which essentially organise ride alongs at car shows which the punters have to pay for ...all money goes to kids charities and it is regional so there is one around here somewhere. They do the NEC classic car show and a few others.

MATE!!! it was her car but she was off lookin 'gawjus' somewhere else!! was a male Racing driver who took us out in it, christ the speed he threw that thing round the track was insane!!! and u still got the impression that he weren't givin it 100%, mainly beacuse he was giving other drivers the thumbs up as he went past lol!! the car was actually skipping through the corners at certain point s on the track and i've never seen someones feet move so quickly on the pedals. so impressive! u driven the Abarth 500 70?

Ben, I assume you were at Rockingham on Saturday for the Abarth corporate event?, I was one of the instructors working that day, not on the Abarths but my job was with the Ferraris for that particular session. The airshow was rather impressive!
It was my GT-R parked a few yards away from where you were based for the Abarth passenger rides.

Done a few of these events now for these worthwhile charities.
