Just a quick one, is anyone up for getting in another meet soon before the weather really does turn? There's a cracking little place just reopend that my family and i have been goin to for years 'The Live and Let Live'. I worked the bar at their opening night and the place is stunning, the Food looks amazing and the owners are really nice people, certainly worth a visit! I'd have to speak to them about arranging dates etc if there are enough of you guys interested, thoughts?

Car park good for our needs, will admit it is slightly smaller but more than able to hold the numbers. You gotta remeber we have still been left with plenty of space in the fly car park and breakfast shouldn't be an issue as they already serve breakfasts for guests staying in their challets. I'm sure they will put on a breakfast for the purposes of a supercar meet, at the end of the day it's in their best interest to do it otherwise how do them make anything from hosting? The fly stopped doing breakfasts ages ago the only reason they still put them on is for supercar visits. Anyhow nothing set in stone but believe me the more details i can take to them now, the quicker we're able to start plans with the meet, there is far more for the Hosts to arrange than there is for us especially considering this place is a freehold.

Right guys, The Live and Let Live are very excited at the idea of hosting a supercar meet. I can confirm that the venue is able to host around 25 cars (about our usual turn out). Breakfasts will not be a problem, in fact they have gone one better and asked if there is anything in particular we would like. Sandwiches, full English breakfasts, Butties etc. So if we can all agree on a style of breakfast then we're good on the food front. The unpredictable weather is obviously able to change the tone of our meets and as such I did put forward the idea that outside shelter would be a good idea and the owners are happy to put up gazebos for us so there is the option to stay out by the cars even if the weather isn't 100%.

As put forward by 70proof, the morning of Sunday 21st is the date in which we are thinking of setting for the meet. Both the owners and I are confident that the live and let live would be a great venue and I hope that you will agree. I would also like to stress that this isn’t a permanent move from our normal venue, but a chance for you guys to see another stunning pub which i would like to share with you all.

Some of you may know that i used to be on the management team at the flying horse. Peter and I share the same love of all things Automotive and this became clear from chats over the bar. From this shared passion I was able to convince my boss to let us have his car park and Peter was able to create our first 3 superb meets with a cracking trip to Aston attached to the last. I just wish to say thank you to Peter and you all for including me in the previous 3 meets by inviting you all to this new venue so that we have the chance to meet one last time this year.

70 if u can help by putting you crazy good organisational skills into the table of cars and I know your amazing with your drive out routes too, bonus is there’s that incredible road right outside the pub!

To summarise, because that’s a long ass message!

ben, i can;t do the 21st, as of last night i;ll be in london.....
why don;t you organise a meet for the 14th october.... that way you get a meet in soon, when the weather may be more favourable, and you don;t rock the boat as the fly is closed for a refit anyway.... i can;t do the 14th either, sorry..... start a new thread, see what happens.... i can ping you some routes i know of, or can put you in touch with someone who knows the area....

not sure two meets a month will be well attended..... you could open it up a bit so it is not a supercar meet, or even introduce a theme like a jap fest, 500 club etc.... PHEA is less exclusive and i joined them last sunday for their run..... loads of very nice metal.... tvr's, rs4, porkers, an old alfa, lancias etc etc etc etc.....

I've been relagated to a less exclusive run in a porker that doesnt quite reach the 200mph supercar league...197mph and 0-60 in 3.3s not good enough! Ben let us know if anything does go down and I will try to get there, the 28th run is obvoiusly off limits to me.

my car doesnt do 200 either.... you've not been relegated mate...... 28th wouldnt be right without ya'.... what i was try to say to ben was that a non supercar PH meet attracts cars of the highest calibre.... dblue is coming in a porker.... indeed, i checked first if he was available before setting a date!!!!

Been involved at the fly 3 years prior to there even being a meet mate, might there be a reason for the sudden change of venue that you aren't aware of? bare in mind i did say it wouldn't be a Permanent change. Been on the phone on and off all day with managers from the fly. Fortunatly looks like the 28th should be good for them but only if your booking tables for your later arival as it will be in the middle of their usual sunday service BUT due to this fact they cannot promise the car park will be fully available. As i said, alot of planning and arranging has gone on behind the scenes for the last 3 meets.

Gents, things getting a bit out of hand me thinks! firstly, change of venue was news to me! my views are why fix whats not broken!! bearing in mind with cars on display and spectator cars there were 43 cars a venue which holds a maximum of 25 cars will be to small bearing in mind we want to be able to walk around the cars without breaking mirrors off etc, secondly although the whole concept of this idea was a meet was for supercars, the previous events could not have been possible without the support of others attending, most photographed car last meet has to be Kev`s martini porker cost him as much as a top line vauxhall corsa, doesnt have to bring the f50 or CGT to get peoples attention, car which did it for me was Pete`s renault, lovely car, hardly in the supercar bracket but caught my eye!! we are a small gathering of like minded people, can we leave politics behind it doesnt matter how much it costs, how quick it is if you love your car bring it along!!
