E36GUY]Cowper Arms good for me. Only 2 mins away. Alternative suggestion - The Candlestick just outside Essendon. I am friendly with the owners and they have a LOT of space. Hard parking for about 20 ish cars but a huge field to the side. I'm sure I could get them on board to do bacon sarnies and coffees. It's also a very safe location as it's on a [u]very[/u said:
quiet road with massive gardens for kids to run about in safely if anyone happens to bring theirs.

small world - so am I (Tom and Vicky, part of our baby group NCT friends). I've seen your X5 too (it was LeMans stickered up recently?) around headstart in PB as well i think?

candlestick - great pub and food. Could also try their other pub The Woodman which is another mile down the road, also has plenty of parking.

I have no interesting car to bring sadly frown

The point of the "Not actually in North London, North London meets" was that the car you arrived in wasn't important. Iirc, on one occasion I turned up in my father's Lexus is200.

Yes. That is indeed my X5. Just took the stickers off finally on Saturday! My eldest finished head start in august and my younger one has just finished there as we're moving him to a nursery in Hatfield. My office is moving from Finchley to Hatfield in February (assuming fit out is completed) so once that happens I won't be going through PB any more and actually, unlikely to go there at all unless for swimming on a weekend. As the Mrs takes elder to school in Hatfield every day now we thought we'd just get on and move the little one now.

I have tried the Woodman of course. Last I was there was the beer festival which is a great event but I don't go there often as the Sticks is better with kids in tow which invariably they are.

Having said that. I will be in the Woody tonight at 8 if you fancy a pint!

Ah thought so, I should have said Hi (in a semi weird I think I know you from the internet way :P ). I remember you gave some advice one of my threads about nurseries, we didn't go for Headstart in the end but I know it's a great place from a couple of the others in NCT group who are using it. We are using willows outside St Albans which has been excellent so far (aside from all the illness it has bought to my household!). The wife of course paid a pivotal role in that decision.

Well hopefully we'll bump into each other @ the candlestick or woodman. I have a white Seat Exeo estate if you happen to see it parked outside either pub, which although is mundane motoring compared to what I'd really like is a fairly rare sight on our roads.

Bit late to the party but I would be up for a meet at a local pub. I'm in Broxbourne so all mentioned pubs are good for me.

Same here.

Revived my Chimaera this morning and probably going to head up to the Boxing Day meet at The Lordship in Bennington tomorrow if it's top down weather.
