I gave up trying to get two in and all my stuff and settled with just one.

Measure garage, cars, large items such as workbenches etc.
Then scale down in cardboard cut outs. That way you can move bits around to find a god layout.

Get as much off the floor as you can. Kitchen wall cabinets cheap and useful

If you have an apex roof, bolster up the joists and go up there for storage.

Hinged kitchen tops on wall batons make good foldup workbenches, legs etc all easily available online. There a lot you can do and not bust the bank.
