St Neots, Cambs, runs an Armed Forces day in July and as part of that they usually have a few period military and classic vehicles. Between myself and one other we've been talking to the council about allowing other vehicles to exhibit/show at the event and they are quite open to the idea. I have no idea of what number might be allowed, as it's early days in the talks, but I'd be keen to canvas interest for anyone in the area which might like to display their car.

There are plenty of us in St Neots and in the surrounding areas who will join in I'm sure.

I'm waiting for the council to finalise some details of the main event and then I'm hoping to sit down and chat with them about doing something

I keep the day in-keeping with the main event, i.e. Armed Forces Day, they are keen that passes are issued to vehicles from the 40's and 50's first and may fill up space with other vehicles thereafter.

Have we got any classic vehicles that might be interested in attending?

Hope a display has been organised for tomorrow? I'll be there for the afternoon. Looking forward to seeing the display! smile

There will be a small classic car display in addition to the armed forces related stuff. Not as big as I'd hoped for, but there is talk of running a larger event later in the year if I can get to speak to those that need speaking to. Hopefully I can catch up with them tomorrow as I suspect there's been some confusion on their part as I'm also a stall-holder, so asking for vehicle passes and vehicle display stuff from the same name, but two different email accounts seems to have make things complicated biggrin
