I need an LWB van for a couple of hours on Saturday to collect 3 pieces of 3m long kitchen worktop back to my house in St Neots. Does anyone know of any Man with Van set ups that would be a reasonable price or companies that offer hourly hire? We've had a few quote of well over £100 which seems a lot of money for 12 miles/30 mins each way.
Worst comes to worst I'll hire a van for a full day but would rather minimise costs if I can.
Thanks.

have a look on local facebook groups . the man and van market is very competitive near me .
alternatively , probably more expensive and without the extra pairs of hands , b&q do a van hire by the hour deal . i would probably go for the facebook group , option.

Tony

I can't help with the van mate but how about just buying a roof rack for your daily driver, should be cheaper and you would have it for future use.

Thanks both. Managed to find an LWB Transit for £45 for 4 hours which I thought was pretty good.

Very helpful chap that owns the company, Italian guy called Patrese. All the vans were under 3 years old as well.

Thanks mate. I've actually also spotted that Wallis & Son just outside Cambridge do Vans on rent too for £45/day. They're only 20 mins away and usefully, I went to school with the owner and he's done me a special smile
