Stone chip specialists - North Bucks / West Beds area?
Discussion
Repairing a few stone chips to the best possible finish can take literally days and obviously the time it takes someone to do this has to be paid for. In the main people won't pay for somebody to paw over their car for days repairing a few chips - hence there are very few 'specialists'
Depending on where and how many chips you've got it might work out cheaper for the effected area(s) to be resprayed.
Or you could buy yourself a touch up kit and DIY, and do just as good a job as the not-so-specialist, yet affordable, guy that you'd probably end up using. (If you're going to DIY use a cocktail stick rather than the brush supplied.)
Be wary though - some paint colours (mainly metallics and pearls) can't really be 'touched-in' to a high standard by anybody.
Take silver as an example: When sprayed the paint goes on thinly, all the metallic particles 'sit' as designed to, like lots of tiny mirrors all reflecting light giving the appearance of silver.
When touching in, even with the same mix of paint, the paint will be applied thicker, the silver particles 'sink', don't reflect the light and the result is a murky grey looking blob.
