This is getting too weird, Chris. We're posting on PH and at the same time having a completely separate text conversation!

I need a lie down.

Gosh - so many questions! biggrin

Yes (obviously not looking through the camera, though!) I had been very close to that speed at night, previously (306 kph indicated, but no picture).

I had been driving all day (returning from deepest Bavaria), always looking for a stretch where it was safe to try a v-max run... Much harder than you would think (traffic, road conditions, restricted sections, weather, etc) and eventually had to turn away from the Belgian border and find a quieter route smile Think the speedo would have touched 200 mph indicated, if I had another mile or two, as it was still accelerating: I dropped the camera to have two hands on the wheel for the bend and it showed 193 as I hit the brakes biggrin

Have touched 300 kph a few times since (I go to Germany 2-3 times a year) but the novelty soon wears off - especially when you see the carnage of a high-speed wreck occasionally frown

thanks for the reply, sorry about all the questions, it seems quite a rare site, someone who buys a car capable of 180+ and actually reaches it and then gets photo evidence. Great effort to see the car put through its v-max paces
Top quality pics as well. beer

My new motor arrived today, and we've done a we've done a bit of role-swapping at home. I've now got the sensible family car and Mrs HH's new MCS Cabrio arrives shortly, replacing her X-Trail.

So goodbye to 370Z Roadster and hello to a 640d M Sport Gran Coupe - Carbon Black with Cinnamon Dakota and a few options...

Apologies for the crap 'phone pictures.

My GTO at the Baston Classic Car show last weekend. Had it for an "eventful" 2 1/2 year, but I'm now considering selling to fund a kit car

Two additions since 2013.

Mine. A 1990, C4 targa.

Mrs. B's 1970, 500. Totally stripped to bare metal and with far too much spent on it. Still, I earned several million brownie points when I presented it to her on her mumble mumble birthday.
