Sorry guys;

just been told that the 'old greene manne' will not be open until later in the day on sunday.
I regret to inform you that the run will not be taking place.

A little stunned why its been cancelled just before the run (was looking forward to going). If someone else can organise something quickly and email everyone on the list then it would be good.

I've just signed up to another hoon now elsewhere due to it being cancelled. I'll see what happens to that one before commiting to anything here, since this one is very on-off-on-off.

If there is interest, I am happy to organise a replacement run. I suggest a start point somewhere along the A1 (e.g. South Mimms or Hatfield), and an approx 75 mile route taking in the best roads of Herts, Beds, and possibly northern Essex.

I would suggest a slightly earlier start (e.g. 8 am) to allow us to enjoy the roads at their emptiest.

Please post a reply if you are up for this.

Why do you need the pub to be open? Not that i'm coming anymore, but you could just meet out the front. The front car park can be seen on google street view, although it's a bit further along the road than where it says it is on the map.

Start and finish points: South Mimms Service Station, EN6 3QQ

08.00 start for approx 10.30 return

If at least two other people sign up and commit by 3 pm Saturday, then the run is on: I will plan a route and make available Google Maps and .itn files for anyone who wants them.

Plenty - thanks for taking the reins on this and the email, however unfortunately my girlfriend has been unwell so I won't be able to make it.

As you're local to me perhaps we can do one starting baldock services in the coming weeks. Then we have easy access to the A507 smile

OK folks, no runout tomorrow. Which may not be such a bad thing given the morning forecast is for snow, and during a play earlier today things got just a little too tail-happy for comfort.

Let's aim to get something together for March.

Did you guys go out in the end today? I saw a convoy of about 10 or so cars head past when I was picking our car up from the Black Horse in Ireland (nr Shefford), MGTF, Escort Cossie and tailed by a 360 spider. Brave to be out hooning in this weather.

scratchchin

That sounds suspiciously like the Petrolhead Nirvana lot. Did the spider have its roof down?

So how does one go about finding more info on these runs? Couldn't see anything on the PN site.

Are you a member of PN? Iirc, they moved it to a 'private' area for those signed up for the run.
