If Oggs is bringing his Sprint out to play I might get the Daytona out for some fresh air, unless the weather is 'orrible then it will be the M5

Indeed, I may bring the GSX-R if there are several bikers? Bikes vs Cars is always good fun smile

Don't think the Seven will be ready in time for this, but I'll see you for the next one. I hope.

Not true i'm afraid...
Years ago my 'Bird was in for a service and i was meeting up with some mates, so i had to turn up in my 911 turbo. They all took the piss of course, but anyways we picked up our skirts and dashed off to the Fosse Way (Warwick to Leicester bit).

I started off at the back trailing two 'Blades, an R1, and a 'Busa, and after about 3 or 4 miles of flowing roads with a few overtakes i was still having to brake way too early for the corners because my mates were in the way.
Next four way junction we got to they told me to get in front and they'd try and keep up on the basis that it's easier to follow than it is to lead. I lost them all in the first five miles.

Most cars simply can't cope with superbike acceleration, but even a Clio 182 can outcorner a well ridden 'Blade on a backroad. Get a car with the horsepower and brakes to back up the cornering and the tables are very quickly turned.

Having said that i still commute on a CBF thou because i don't want to sit in traffic jams biggrin

umm, how about 3 up and with 2 suitcases.... wink

lol biggrin

That said, you should look at some of the vids on YouTube of modded cars in the US. It sure takes one hell of a car to beat a bike, but they seem to manage it. There's a great vid somewhere of a 1500hp Viper out running (with ease) a modded Hyabusa (sp?)

sorry i was talking of straight line speed, chuck a few corners in and its bye bye. Every one talks of the atom having bike speed, once your at the 100mph the R1 will pull away like your standing still.byebye
