I've got to be at Cranfield (uni) for 9am tomorrow morning, can anyone recommend me a route as google maps reckons the best route is across to Barton and then onto the M1 coming off at the Bedford/MK jct.

Is there a better way? As the last thing I need tomorrow is to be stuck on a closed motorway!

Thanks smile

Alright Nick

I know the area well. Head to Barton from Hitchin, great road. From there go North on the A6 to Clophill. At roundabout take the 1st exit on the A507 towards Flitwick, just stay on there and follow signs to the M1. You will end up at junction 13, which is a mass of roadworks and roundabouts, just follow signs to Cranfield from there.

If you don't fancy the A6, queues are there but do move. Once you leave Barton on the A6, bear left at The Grove Pub towards Pulloxhill (Bulloxhill for those who regularly see the sign defaced biggrin ), follow that all the way through Pulloxhill, into Greenfield, left at a nice garage (usually with some nice metal), then right to Flitwick further up the road. From there you can carry straight on through Flitwick towards the A507.

If I've completely confused you then use the A6 route!
