Got to be elsewhere from 10 tomorrow so I'll miss the run and the pub.frown But I'll try to make it to the start to see what's there, and to fill up on some 99 just in case. wink

Went out for a recce of the 507 this afternoon. Time to own up, who were the two TVRs in convoy I went past just round the corner from Tesco (orange Sagaris with carbon/black blade in the bonnet and a Cerbera)?

Pity the MG's problem has resurfaced, and the tyres are absolute ditchfinders especially in the wet. Hope it's dry in the morning. The 507 has some lethally tight corners! Should be fun tomorrow!
Toldja tongue out

As I said to my friend when I showed him the road 'The chevrons do NOT lie!'

Oh well, could you please park it down the road from the pub Blib, we really don't need to see it again.
wink
I'll park it next to wherever yours gives up the ghost.

I shouldn't mock. Last time out, my Hawk developed an electrical fault and an airlock in the cooling system after just one mile, overheated and had to be retired back to the hutch.

paperbag

So, fingers crossed. See you tomorrow!

I'll be the young wide guy in the hoodie (or not if it's sunny) looking at it!

Do like M3s...

Is it sad I'm excited for tomorrow? Not even going on the run! (next time though, ohhh I'm driving!)

Blimey, I've heard of Italian reliability but that's just hilarious. Did you even get out of sight of the house? Did the wife give you a cheery wave through the kitchen window, and bring you out a little Thermos of tea to drink while you waited for the breakdown van? I'm getting Mr Toad-like impressions here, Blib serious-facedly saddling up in the Hawk with flat cap and driving gloves, and a very understanding other half thinking "off he goes in that silly little machine again, why he loves it so much I've no idea - best get the kettle on, he'll be needing his tea in a few minutes"...

Sorry - just poking fun hehe looking forward to seeing (and hearing) the Hawk!

Well ive been quietly browsing this forum on and off for a while now and im annoyed with myself i havent seen this earlier! Is it still ok to pop along? I'll only be coming for the run as im on nights so will have to get home for some sleep. Would it be ok to come on the motorbike or is that out of the question? I'd have no worries staying at the back of the pack if anyone had any concernes. If not no worries i can bring the car along.

If anyone reads this before they head down any reply would be appreciated. Many thanks in advance!

Well, the need for sleep won in the end so I won't make the run this time. Will see you all at the pub though.

He did! smile

Fantastic day, really enjoyed the route and pretending to myself that I can keep up with an M5! Nice location and the weather held out which is a bonus. Loved the matt SV that turned up at the end and then asked when we were going for the run! Photos will come along later, the female self-loading freight surpassed herself a couple of times wink

Well what a morning that was! Bloody loved it!!! Always a tad daunting meeting new people etc but what a friendly bunch! I'm terrible with names so i'll no doubt i'll be asking again next time.

The route was fantastic, had a little bit of everything and at a good pace. The final destination at the pub was spot on too. Great turn out and some very nice cars! Shame i have work tonight as i would have liked to stay for a while longer. Was good to meet those of you that i got around to speaking too though. Will definitely be along to another in the future.

Thanks again :-)
