Just reported on Sky that one of the Red Arrows has gone down near Bournemouth, I only saw them a couple of weeks back over Swanage Bay.

I hope the pilot is OK.

Guy on UKAR(uk airshow review forum site) just wrote ...
Saw it happen , did a flypast at the airport and one just sank below the horizon
Merlin was in the air and attended , now coastguard and police choppers up. Bournemouth airport closed.
Sirens everywhere...

Sky news reporting pilot dragged from a river by eyewitnesses. Here's hoping he banged out OK.

Just read this quote on a BBC site..

"Shaun Spencer-Perkins, who witnessed the crash from Throop Mill, said: "I heard a rushing sound and I saw a plane about 15m above the ground racing across the fields.

"It impacted and bounced across the field, made it across the river.

"Members of the public jumped into the water to search for the cockpit.

"We waved down the helicopter, I took off my son's orange jacket and my wife's red jumper to get the attention of the helicopter."
