I was fearing that. On the other thread I quoted the eyewitness who reported not seeing an ejection.

I saw the display yesterday, and was at home today when I saw them fly over in formation on their way back to Hurn. Really hope the pilot is ok.

The problem with fast news, they have to pull it as quick as it's published. If it is the red quoted earlier then they have a wife to tell frown

They won't confirm anything until the family has been informed

BBC South online is showing a vid clip from a member of the public at the show, and a/c just seems to dive straight into the ground just after the run n break, still has smoke on........ very odd ..... and you can see no immediate ejection before a/c disappears....... unless it was a very, very late and low attempt to get out frown

On one hand the lack of news of the pilot would point towards it being a fatal accident. On the other hand if it were true then the rest of the Air Show would be cancelled as a mark of respect but they are still flying.

Au contraire, most shows will continue after a crash as long as fire/rescue services are still available.

This doesn't normally happen....... and pilots are usually against this anyway, prefering to just carry on focusing on flying......rather than dying.

Indeed, the idea is also to distract the crowd.

From what the eye witness has said on SkyNews it does not sound positive for the pilot, But, anything said at the moment is just speculation and if it is bad news, then the family will be told first

Just seems to loose all control inputs after the run and break, as you say very odd...
