just replaced the engine on my boat, an the remotes box is a push not a pull.

anyone know a place that does them for a reasonable amount?

£200 for a box is rather annoying

blimey, lots of questions there.

its a single side mount, standard cables, would be best for a single lever control box.

not sure the 5hp quite needs race throttles

If you fitted race throttles you might get 6hp driving

Can often be changed from "push" to "pull" inside the box.

What is the control?

Race throttles is just a term for seperate throttle and gears as most race guys like to start in gear to save loading the gearboxes up on shift and have the full range of movement for throttle control rather than half each way. Also removes the annoying tendancy for the thing to come out of gear when you back off to control revs as the boat comes out of the water. nerd

I am going to guess however that you do not have this requirement. biglaugh

would be about the cheapest option

but this for a slightly cleaner look

Of course either option will leave you needing to mount a kill switch elsewhere.

I have to say though with that level of power at your disposal you should probably be considering a foot throttle. biggrin

ive decided to go with a second crewman to work the throttle, the speed will be getting upto need a man to steer an one to handle the huge power.

or i might have found a 701 box on ebay to do the job
